Accident reports: Published Nov. 28
An Imperial teenager is dead following a two-vehicle accident Nov. 21 on Seckman Road, according to a report by the Highway Patrol. Authorities said an eastbound Chevy S-10 pickup driven by Raymond L. Reis, 16, crossed the centerline as it crested a hill at 4 p.m. and struck a westbound Ford Explorer driven by Stephanie A. Conley, 52, also of Imperial. Reis was later pronounced dead at St. Anthony's Hospital in south St. Louis County. Conley was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's with serious injuries. Police said Reis was not wearing a seatbelt. A head-on collision Nov. 19 on Little Antire Road left a High Ridge woman seriously injured, according to a report by the Highway Patrol. Authorities said a northbound Dodge Dakota pickup driven by Joseph L. Brown, 23, of High Ridge, began skidding on a curve in the roadway at 8:35 a.m. and veered into the southbound lane. The pickup struck a southbound Toyota Prius driven by Kerry L. Flemming, 50. Flemming was taken by ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital North with serious injuries. Brown was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Hospital in south St. Louis County for treatment of moderate injuries.The Missouri Highway Patrol reports nine fatal traffic accidents in the state during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. From 6 p.m. Nov. 21 through 11:59 p.m. Nov. 25, the Patrol investigated 390 crashes, with 128 injuries. Troopers also arrested 115 motorists for DWI. Last year there were 15 fatal accidents during the same period and 327 crashes. |
