Festus man charged in alleged rape

Robert A. Dees, 36, of the 13400 block of Route TT, was identified by the alleged victim after police responded to an emergency dispatch phone call to the 2900 block of Windy Hill in Festus at 1 a.m. July 5.
The woman, 43, told police Dees, an acquaintance, had forcibly entered her residence through an unsecured window.Once inside, the alleged victim told police she was raped by Dees, who then fled the scene.
The woman was taken by paramedics to an area hospital for treatment following the alleged incident.
Dees was arrested and charged with forcible rape and first-degree burglary.
He is currently housed in the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro under a $100,000 cash bond.
