TWO YEARS AGO, after the election, we were promised we would never see $2.50 a gallon gas again, that we would see more affordable homes and that we would be out of Iraq. We're still in Iraq, people are being evicted and we've got $4 a gallon gas. Thank God for Nancy Pelosi and good old Carnahan.

THE REPUBLICANS WANT to drill for oil in our coastal areas and Alaska. I say no way. The oil companies already own 68 million acres, let them drill there. Wherever companies go for oil, etc. most destroy our lands and leave it unfit for man and beast.
IN THIS DAY and age of the Internet and all the news programs available on television and radio, it is hard to fathom that there are people that still believe Barack Obama is a Muslim. These are the very same uninformed ignoramuses that voted in George W. Bush not only once, but twice! 1-20-09 can't get here fast enough!
UNEMPLOYMENT IS UP; the last I heard 5.5 percent. That's not so good, but let's remember the liberals getting the minimal wage package passed against Bush wishes. Most of these jobs were part time when kids are out of school. So when students were getting out of school in May/June many places weren't hiring like before. That alone helped unemployment to jump up, and it did.
TO ALL THE people taking their pets to shelters because they are "old," to be killed the next week, remember, someday you will be old too.
I LIVE ON TT in a passing zone. When someone is behind me, I signal for my left turn and move to the "wrong" side of the road to let them go by on the right without them having to slow hardly at all. I find it amazing how many people do not understand this simple country courtesy. People have slammed on their brakes and actually stopped and have nearly been rear-ended themselves because of their apparent ignorance. Come on folks wake up or go back to the city.
